I think your recent idea about using cash instead is something I'm going to try because i too end up wiht a large bill at the end of the month saying, "but I didn't buy that much". If you spend $3.43 at a store, the charge is for $4.00 and the 57 cents goes into your savings account. I suppose it's a good idea for some people, but I prefer to have complete control, plus, I use my credit card for everything (taking advantage of the "Cash Back" offers).
